What does CleanINCI do?
The app automatically analyses your cosmetic formulas to detect declarable fragrance allergens (EU Reg 2023/1545), banned substances (Omnibus VIII 2026/78) and restricted substances (Annexes II/III/V/VI). It generates the INCI list ordered by concentration, displays it on the Shopify product page in multiple languages, and keeps an audit trail compliant with Article 11 of EU Regulation 1223/2009.
How do I enter a product formula?
In your Shopify admin, open the app then Products → a product → Enter formula. Three options: (1) ingredient by ingredient with INCI autocomplete, (2) paste the full INCI list, (3) import a CSV (Starter plan or higher). Analysis updates 500 ms after each input.
What if an ingredient is flagged as "Banned"?
The ingredient is in Annex II or an amendment (Omnibus VIII for CMR substances, 2023/2055 for microplastics). Reformulate before the effective date. The app blocks the formula from being marked compliant while the banned substance is present.
How do I enable the INCI widget on the storefront?
In your Shopify theme editor, open the product page, click Add block → Apps → INCI Display, then save. The block renders the list automatically in the visitor's language (FR/EN/DE/IT/ES).
How do I download a product PIF?
Pro and Plus plans only. On a product detail page, click Download PIF PDF. The document includes product identity, INCI composition, declarable allergens, compliance status and audit history.
What's the difference between plans?
Free (free of charge, no time limit): 3 products. Starter (€19/month): 50 products, bulk CSV, multilingual, email alerts. Pro (€49/month): 200 products, PIF PDF, read-only public API. Plus (€79/month): unlimited, read/write API, priority support.
How do I generate an API key?
Pro and Plus plans. Settings → Public API key → Generate a key. The key is shown once only. Use it in Authorization: Bearer <key>.
What happens if I uninstall the app?
All your data is deleted 48 hours after uninstall via the GDPR shop/redact webhook. Download your PIFs before uninstalling if you want to keep them.
